The following two commands fix the messages upon ssh-login to remote hosts regarding missing locale variables.

The Errors: 

perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
        LANGUAGE = (unset),
        LC_ALL = (unset),
        LC_PAPER = "de_BE.UTF-8",
        LC_ADDRESS = "de_BE.UTF-8",
        LC_MONETARY = "de_BE.UTF-8",
        LC_NUMERIC = "de_BE.UTF-8",
        LC_TELEPHONE = "de_BE.UTF-8",
        LC_IDENTIFICATION = "de_BE.UTF-8",
        LC_MEASUREMENT = "de_BE.UTF-8",
        LC_TIME = "de_BE.UTF-8",
        LC_NAME = "de_BE.UTF-8",
        LANG = "en_US.UTF-8"
    are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").

Solution:

Run on local machine as root.

for y in $(locale | cut -d '=' -f 2| sed 's/"//g' | sort |uniq );do locale-gen "$y"; done

dpkg-reconfigure locales

That's it.
